Dear Readers *lol* (Kind of amusing to address you girls as Dear Readers),
This weekend was a complete trama for me. For those of you who remember me as being fair, you can kiss that memory Goodbye ! Paul had dragged me to the pool (a mini wet-n-wild or similiar to Downtown East) yesterday during a typical summer sunday afternoon with 38 deg and a blazing sun.
Despite my attempt to coat myself with the sunblock twice within the 4 hrs time span, my effort had gone totally wasted. Now I have officially gone from being fair to dark and there's still no inbetween nor did the UV rays give me any break. If you go by the Singaporean's standards, my "tan-ness" level is no difference to a Malay girl's.... *sigh* seriously in depress mode now. Whatever the myth about the more Vit D, the happier you are, are all BS (Bull Sh*t). I can also kiss my 2-way cake goodbye... I can't use my pre-tann 2-way cake on my post-tann face ! Super sonic ironic right, imagine with dark neck and arms but fair face, visualise chinese opera.
I've discovered another trend here about American girls, the obsession they have with tanning salon. I mean they will pay good money to visit tanning salon to tann. Some even own tanning membership packages. Haven't they heard of Skin Cancer, Pigmentation, Dark spots etc etc ? What amuses me even more is that everywhere you turn your head, a tanning/bikini/brazillan wax salon will pop right infront of you but you need to hunt high and low for a Facial/Spa salon. Which is total opposite from the scene in Singapore. I even ask my Ah Lao, "So what if you have a nice brazilian wax but your face is rotten and filled with spots ? Shouldn't you go for frequent facial and have a nice complexion to attract the opposite sex before you invite them to view your brazilian wax ?" As usual, his reply to me is "I don't know."
For those of you who know me as a facial addict should know the desperation level I am in now for a good facial and how much I miss my monthly facial. Now all I have and can count on is DIY and keep my fingers cross and pray that my face will not rot.

Oh please, be it tan or black or brown or white, what is most important each & everyone possesses is the internal beauty within us.
Be it freckles or pigmentation, u cannot control it as all had been scripted in a journal kept in a secret compartment "upstairs".
Always live life & enjoy to the fullest ignoring the cons cons side of life..

NO .... if the freckles and pigmentation is all scripted in the journal, then all the beauty salon can close shop for good and you girls can stop going to facial from today onwards since whatever the salon do or what you do is pointless.
I feel that the beginning and ending is scripted and as for the rest, it's the way you make them to be.... Regardless, happiness is what that's most important !
