Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

These days between updating my blog, checking out the latest reality shows (Oh Yeeees!!!), watching my chinese talk shows like (Kang Xi Lai Le, Guo Kwang Pang Pang Mang & Dao Siao Ai Chi). I've also occupy myself with reading this self-help book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus".

My Neighbor, CJ who is also Paul's Best Friend strongly recommend this book to me. (He is currently working on his Masters and soon his PHD and training to be a physiatrist in a few years time). According to him, he read this book annually and he have been reading it 4 years in a row. After the rave review he gave, I decide to give it a shot. After me, it'll be Paul's turn to read and learn something from it.

After a few chapters, I was like "OMG ! This is so true". Believe it or not, this book narrates marriage, relationships, the difference between man and woman and basically the though process of the martians and venusian. The best part of it is the examples which he provide, I can totally relate to.

An example - when we girls complain and bitch about stuffs, another female will show empathy and share with us their experience and relate to us. Whereas a man will listen to it and offer us solutions. I mean HELLOOOO I don't need solution, I want you to say "Yes, that Bloody Bitch!" And join me with my bitching or really understand & relate to what I am bitching about....

Or how venusian have the ability to multi-task and how the martians can only concentrate one thing at a time. How and what we look forward to in a romantic dinner and care abt the details like the location, the atmosphere, the crowd and what dress we should wear etc. Whereas the men think about the portion of the food, how good the food will be and how much the damage is for their bank account.

Oh well, despite being married, each day is a discovery day for me. Paul always surprise me with the things that pop out of his brain and what comes out of his mouth. But I am still able to read him like a semi open book which is an advantage for me...

For those of you who want to know what is occupying the other sex's brain or it's activity, try this book. Definately a good read. =)
