Girls' Night Out

As promised, here are some of the pics taken during our Night out last Thursday.

I desprately and needly need my fun ....

Oh, For those of you who don't know, I'm leaving on a Jet Plane and returning back to the US on 6th July 08 (Sunday). Yes, Paul is still suffering from separation anxiety and hopefully my return will cure that.

I miss my Mooch but I know I'll miss everyone here especially the Triplets *sigh*

It's 11.30pm on a Monday night and I just spend 12 hours at work. Yes, it's a Dog's life at work and there isn't a moment that I am free. Infact I've note down today that I actually only go to the washroom twice a day and I know I'm doing injustice to my kidneys but with the work, my kidneys are very cooperative.
Anyway there's only 4 more days to go before I bid farewell to my Job. It's ironic that I am enjoying my work now cause of my Boss's reconisation and my Staff's support. And my Bosses treat me so freaking good that even my Buddy told me it's very obvious.

I just had my shower 20 mins ago and my hair is still dripping wet after my hair wash and I am having a funny conversation with my 2 pals - Kitty and Hay.
Unfortunately it's 11.30pm or not I'm sure my other insane BFF, Tricia would be stiring up this conversation like a hurricane.

We are discussing - BW which is Bikini Wax !
For a person with negative pain tolerance level like me, even going for steamboat dinner is a risk and something which I will avoid when I can.
Now with the Bikini Wax !!! For Real, I've asked Paul what he think about Bikini Wax.

The first answer my considerate and sensitive husband gave me was "But it is going to be so painful, why go through the pain." At that moment when he said that, I knifht him as my hero for being so thoughtful. But before I can knight him, he followed with this statement "Why even bother, your Auntie Mary (a nickname that I use and refer to as my menses) usually stay for 2 to 3 weeks. So who's going to enjoy it except for your Auntie Mary!"

Right there and then, I am glad that there is a distance between us, otherwise I am positive that I will rip his head off with my bare hands....

It's 15 mins later and we are still talking about BW. I think it's refreshing for us since we never go that personal and also it's something that neither of us had ever tried before.

Anyway this Thursday we're going to have another Girls' Night out and a Sleep Over ! WOOOHOOOOO !!! Kayden is going to have a video recorder and record down our night hahahah. Yes, we can be that insane when we are all together.

The funny thing is, some girls have group names like "Sweetie Pie" or "The Beautifuls" but our gang are called "Animal Farm" hahahha ....

Okie, I'll elaborate more on the nicknames of each one on my next update. For now, I need to finish off the chat and collaps into bed....

Girls' Night Out !

It's been a week since I last update my blog and I wonder where that week went.

But last night was the highlight of my week. Me and the Girls went for dinner and a Girls' Night out. We went to this exotic place for dinner and it was splendid. I think the happiest part is not the food nor the drinks or even the atmosphere. It's the Company and how we enjoy each other's company. It's comforting to be able to share, open up and exchange intimate details of our lives, even more so when I look back we know each other for about 20 yrs, such as Me and Cecilia, we know each other since we're 12yrs old, Me and Tricia know each other since we're 16 yrs old.

I feel so blessed that I have good girlfriends and to me, it's crutial to have a strong bond with my girlpals. They are afterall witness of my teenage life into adulthood....

Yes, did took some pictures and I promise, once I receive the photos, I'll post it into my blog.....

Rice Dumplings

I'm fortunate enough to be back in Singapore for the Dumplings festival.

Last time this year, I was in US and I missed out on the festival and most of all, I missed out on the Super Sonic Delicious Rice Dumplings that Cecilia's mother made.

It's a very long and time consuming process. I can't even imagine the entire process cause just cooking (boiling the rice dumplings in a giantic pot) the rice dumplings take 4 hours and every 2 hours, you need to rotate the rice dumplings to make sure they are evenly cooked. There is simply too much work, hardwork, sweat and energy involved just to make 1 rice dumplings.

Cecilia's Mom seems to be the master of all yummy-licious food for all festivals. For Chinese New Year - Her famous Home-made Potato Chips, Love Letters and Pineapple Tarts. I just need to broadcast her mouth watering mango and chill marinated in vinegar.

I'm speaking on behalf of Tricia and myself, the home-made Rice Dumplings of Cecilia's Mom is simply - DELICIOUSSSSSS !!!!

Mission Successful !

MISSION SUCCESSFUL !!!!

The Mission - hunting down Sommer's Birthday present (FYI, her birthday is on 16th June). I remember clearly when I was discussing with Cecilia and Tricia what present to buy for Sommer and we discussed and zoom down until Sarong strike my head. For an avid beach go-er like her, I think sarong would be useful for her....

Yes, I dragged a pregnant woman (aka Tricia) and a non-shopping person (Cecilia) hunting and we finally found the perfect piece of sarong for her. I am so relief that her birthday present reached her on time (infact much eariler).

Initially I wanted her to open the present on her Birthday but I can't really ever say NO to her when she convinced me that she will have other presents to open on her birthday and that she want to talk to me at the same time when she's opening her present. I am even more relief that she like her present.

TO Tricia & Cecilia, Sommer want to THANK both of you for your effort as well....

Wooohoooo, it sure feels good when you buy a present for someone and they like it.

No More Shoe Jinx !

Woooooohoooooo ....... I've finally stepped down from being called a shoe jinx (FYI, the title was kindly awarded by Tricia).

Before I left for US, Tricia and my favourite past time was shoe shopping. But after more than a year of hibernation in US, shoes shopping was replaced with grocery shopping. One thing I discovered is, the style of shoes in US are totally different from the style I fancy.

During the initial weeks when I'm back in Singapore, I am cursed with failure to locate and hunt down the right pair of shoes. It's like my luck went away and the shoe fairy have decided to stay away from me. I always come out from the shoe store with either they don't have my size or the shoe doesn't fit or it doesn't look as good on my feet than it did on the shelf. Thus my Tricia knight me with the name "Shoe Jinx".

Today I tried my luck again with Cecilia and popped into a shoe store. Instead of diasppointment, I walked out with a pair of shoes that fit perfectly and best of all, even Cecilia said it looks good. A compliment from Cecilia is an endorsement (I'm sure Tricia would agree as well).

Price of Shoes = $40 (after discount)....
Price of Happiness = PRICELESS

Energy Suckers !

Hi Folks, Apologies for not updating my blog.

It's been a hectic 2 weeks consumed with insane work and surrounded by energy sucking customers. Seriously, being at this job lets me see the ugly side of Singaporeans, the ugly side of humans where they only want to take advantage of others and make themselves look like the poor victims. But in reality, all these cheapskates are nothing but ugly, energy suckers *sigh*. I can go on and on rambling about these people but I'll try to control myself thus they don't consume all of me, especially not on my OFF day.

It's Glorious Wednesday again... glorious cause it's my OFF day and fantastic cause I am off work tomorrow as well. Something I really need, a break from work. No Joke, after spending 5 days in a week at work, I do slip into a murderous mode and many times I don't even require the help of a weapon to do the job. Just my raw bare hands are handy enough and able to finish the job.... Yes, my job is turning me into a physchopath as well hahahah

Today, I am going to meet my best girl, Cecilia for lunch and then followed with my desperately needed facial. You know how it is that some girls go for retail theraphy or some go for massages to relief stress ? Well, I go for facial to relief stress and it's a very smoothing process for me cause when I leave the beauty salon, I feel happy... unfortunately, like Cecilia always said "Your face will rot when you go for facial too frequently". Yes, I have been trying to convince my other best girl, Tricia to take medical leave today and meet us for lunch. But her work ethics superceed a fun day with us hahhaha .... But I am relief and happy that my God Son is growing healthly inside Tricia.

It's dumpling festival and I should have took some photos and load it on to share with you folks. The dumplings which Cecilia's mother spend many many hours in the kitchen slogging after..... I promise, I will take some pics and post it up soon...

My Prayers...

My job is sucking the living day lights out of me. I am beginning to hate my job. There always seems to be a giantic pile of work to finish, an entire load of problems to solve and a long queue of bitches and bastards who deserved to be burned in hell..... It's been a common and usual trend that I'm working 12hours during all my working days!

First, there's this crap about the Duty Manager staying back to lock up the Office after everyone left. Today I discover another bullsh*t about being on duty for the entire month (on roster) for the emergency phone. FYI, I'm on the Emergency Phone schedule for the month of July. Can't I even have some peace on my Birthday Month !!! Yah, the purpose of Emergency Phone is so passengers who are overseas can call you and complain about issues ! As if the local complains aren't enough to rive us insane and now we need the additional crap from overseas ! Yes, Freaking Bullsh*t !!!!

I know I am mean for saying this but slogan and prayers for this week is "May all the Bitches and Bastards burn in hell. May all the Energy Suckers rot on earth and for all those creeps who rob my peace at work have constant nightmare !!!!!"
