Update on our Vacation !

I must admit that I am really impressed with Sommer (Paul's younger sister).

It's merely a day since we have decided to drive to North Carolina for my MIL's wedding on 14th July (Sat) and already she have everything booked and arranged. From the accommodation to transportation and even the list of restaurants for us to select when we're in North Carolina, very efficient indeed.

Here's the plan, we would be leaving Florida on 12th (Thurs) around 2000 hrs and hopefully after a 10 hrs drive (we would be driving through the state of Georgia & South Carolina before reaching North Carolina), we would arrive at the Hotel in North Carolina for a much needed shower and rest before we spend or plan a bachelorette party for my MIL... hmm... I was proposing a visit to the Strip Club. Good Thing, Pete (Sommer's Husband) concur with my proposal, however Sommer and Paul are not as enthusiastic as us. It's like a pail of ice cold water pouring right on our head. But I am still keeping my fingers cross for something exciting....

Let me give you folks a breakdown for the car rental and accommodation. We decide to rent a car cause it's more comfy. As you all know, Paul drives a truck thus the back is not as roomy as we prefer ...

1) Rental of car - USD200 (For 5 days)

2) Petrol - USD150 (For both ways)

3) Marriott Hotel Stay (Suite with 2 queen size bed) - USD255

Thus the damage for each couple is only USD302.50 (Total USD605) which is half the price of our airticket if we decide to fly. Definately very good bargain ! =) So Tricia & Cecilia, if U girls ever visit me, we can plan for road trips as well, very affortable and I am targeting at New York !!!! (However, accommodation in NY is much more costly).

I can't wait for 12th July to arrive. I think I am more excited about my trip as compared to my MIL's wedding... promise, will definately snap tons of pictures back. Oh ! Paul would be giving his mother off and Sommer would be the Maid of Honor. I was teasing Pete that I will be the Flower Girl and he can be the Ring Bearer (Pete is as insane as me).
