WOW ! We've received amazing news from my Mother-In-Law (MIL) last night about her wedding plans !!!!!! Oh yes, she's 59 and getting married. She's also very different from the traditional MIL we're used to. She would tell me she love me after each phone conversation I have with her, hug and kiss me each time I see her or call me Precious etc . I'm not used to the PDA (Public Display of Affection) but I am certainly trying to get used to it. {As you can see fm the pic, my MIL is the one with a pink top.}
For a MIL, I think mine is super cool and happening. She would talk to me about any topics under the sun and she make it easy to confide in her about anything, even complaining about her son if I have any. It's hard to imagine when Paul have told me that his mom have been very religious over the past few years. For those of you who think that MIL are mean, there is still hope out there.
Regardless, I'm happy that she is getting married and have a companion with her. Just prove that it doesn't matter how old you marry, what matter most is who you marry ! There is always a 2nd Spring even at 59 years old. Apparently they have been dating for the past 7 yrs and her fiance had proposed to her countless times. (I think her fiance is abt 60+). Finally she have decide to nod her head. The big day is set on 14th July 07 (Sat) in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina http://www.weddingsinthemtns.com/index.html . Don't ask me, I've never been in the Mountains before either but I heard from Paul it's beautiful. Apparently it's 4 hrs drive from where my MIL stay and I've only visit her once during last Christmas which is also the venue where Paul "get down on 1 knee" and propose to me. Check out the link to the venue of their wedding, it's kind of romantic, up in the mountains. Oh did I mention that they will be staying in the Honeymoon Suite *wink wink*.
As for the wedding crashers : Paul + me + Sommer ( Paul's younger sis) & Pete (Sommer's Hubby), we're planning to drive from Florida to North Carolina. We would be crossing 2 states with an estimated of 10 hrs drive .... I always love road trips but this time with Sommer and Pete it'll be fun as they're alway fun to be around. I hope we can be there eariler so we can throw my MIL a bachelorette party ! Likely we're leaving on 12th July (Thurs evening) and returning on the coming monday.
We're in the mist of our planning. Sommer would be incharge of the rental of SUV and room for us at Marriott whereas Paul will be planning the route. As for me, my job is to have fun and come back with some photos to show! Will update you guys abt the final details. I am just happy to have a vacation coming up !!
