I just had one of the best weekend EVERRRRRR !!!
My dear SIL - Sommer and her BFFs had a hunting aka shopping trip with me on Sat. MISSION - Hunting down my Tea Ceremony Wedding dress. I can't remember how fun shopping is with a couple of girls, especially receiving their nods of approval or frowns of disgust. Did I mention that Sommer's friends are equally fun to be with as well.
First, I have to admire Sommer's determination as I was ready to settle for a dress at our first stop. But with Sommer's persistance, she lead us to our 2nd stop and brought me to "THE DRESS". Seriously with the panel of judges, I am super relief when the 3 of them nod their head in approval and go "Yes". Perhaps it's funny to them when my first and ultimate question is "Does this dress have slimming effect ?" rather than "Do I look stunning in this ?". When the judges told me "It take off at least 10 pounds off you". Instantly I know this one is a keeper. When I return home and show it off to Paul, his reponse is "It's nice and it take 5 pounds off you". Coming from Paul, I'm contented. Afterall, when I've received the nod of approval from the girls, it doesn't really matter what Paul's comment is. Hahhahha
Sommer also planned a send off dinner for me with the girls which I totally enjoyed. Even thought we didn't get our groove on the dance floor but I had a blast with the company.
On Easter, we were invited to my FIL's place for Easter Dinner. Seriously it's my first Easter and I really don't know what to expect except for the food since it's a dinner party. But I'm blown away with the white rice that my FIL's wife made. I know it's strange but I'm used to address her either by her name or knight her as "My FIL's wife". The rice she prepared reminded me so much of the rice back home in Singapore, fluffy and grainy. My FIL's wife gave me the cutest Easter basket ever with the candies, the chocolates and on the Easter card, my FIL wrote the nicest thing to me - "Welcome to the Family". Before going home, my FIL even told me he'll miss me when I'm gone.
Paul mentioned that to me before but coming direct from my FIL's mouth, I think I've strike lottery ! Yes, I know a few girls will hate my guts after reading this but tough shit ! Hahahahh Another incentive, my FIL told me, I can have any plants after I return since he know that I always wanted a Bird Of Paradise on my front yard. My request - I want a garden of Eden with Paul dressed as Adam hahahahah Perhaps Mooch can dressed up as the snake but he's going to be one fat snake hahaha
Somehow leaving is bitter sweet. I haven't seen my BFFs and my family for more than a year and I definately miss them. On the other hand, I've grown to love and attached myself to the folks here (especially my teary eye SIL - Sommer, whom not only is my SIL but now my BFF). I will definately miss the shopping trips and how she had enlighten me through revolution with my decorating skills and making me see beyond the "dust collecting" decorating items.
It's double and super hard to leave Paul - who have been the best husband in the world during the past few weeks. Last night I promised him in my future trips back to Singapore, I'll not leave for more than 3 mths. His bargain plea - 2 months max ! *sigh* I think it's going to be dreadful when Paul send me off to the airport. Already he have told me he'll cry when he drop me off and he's been cuddling me in the middle of the night when I'm snoring away *sigh* *sigh*.
Hopefully Mooch will entertain and keep Paul busy when I'm gone.
Oh Oh, Sommer also enticed me with a gift which both of us fall in love with during our house decoration buying trip. Yes, something which I love and even Paul is impressed with. Stay tune and I'll give u all a glimps of it tomorrow ! Hahahah

im STILL teary-eyed! im gonna freakin miss you so much!!!! UUUGGHHHHHH!!!! but i know how happy you are gonna be with your wonderful friends and beautiful family, so i am so glad for you. i will try to console paul while you are gone and hopefully get him out of the house every once in awhile too! i also vow to make sure your beautiful home isnt trashed while you are gone, but i have a feeling that paul will keep it very nice for you! and if you can transform his "piggish" ways, then you REALLY have made an impact on his life!!! hahahaha!

Yes, drag Paul out of the house if U need to. I hope he'll keep himself busy with school work and keeping the house clean hahhha.
It's true, time flies, just imagine, I've been here for more than a year already. Like Tricia said, let me know if you want anything from Sunny Sing,we'll hunt it down. I surely hope to see you at my wedding and even Amy too... I can't wait for the girls to meet you and Amy.
Yah !!! This weekend I'll be in Sing and it's insane knowing I'm returning...Tricia, Better plan something solid for my return ! ITEM NO. 1 - MAHJONG SESSION !!!
