Arrrgghhhh !!!

My family and friends are unable to comprehend the fact that I am a pet owner. The kind that I can physically pet and touch. Yes, never in my wildest dream would I even believe that I own a pet or cat but I do now. And now that I own a cat, I've discover that all my friends belong to the Anti-Cat Clan.

As weird as it seems, all the negative thoughts in the past about pet have vanished (almost all) and I'm beginning to enjoy every bit of it. Oh, don't get me wrong, I still want to skin Moocher alive when he wake me up at 5.30am each morning for wet food. And he only want wet food despite the dry food is there available for him 24/7.

This morning was when the intensity to slaughter him was the strongest. I was ready to reach for my butcher knife when he woke me up at 3.30am for food. YESSS, 3.30am, that devil !!! And it's cold about 5 deg this morning and the sky was still dark. I drag my butt out of the cosy and warm bed to feed him. When I thought it was over, I climb back to bed and get comfy. Before I even snuggle long enough, Mooch starts meowing again. This time, it's Paul's turn to get out of bed and get Mooch out of the house. Yes, I feel bad that he's freezing his butt outside when it's cold. But we reckon he either want to do his "business" or look for his friend to play. Did I mention that Mooch have found a friend in our neighbourhood ?

Yah, we spotted Mooch with another cat together across our neighbour's yard. Despite the early mornings that we want to kill him, he's still lovable the entire time.

Check out the pic of him jumping into my lap yesterday. Yes, he jumped up right next to me and want me to let me pet him, so Paul snap the winning photo.

P/S : Here's another pic of him now, sleeping after his episode with us last night.

My dear DIL.. You are too precious.

Honey just because he wakes you up, does not mean you have to get up and feed him. Don't let him fool you... just tell him NO. He knows that word.
But maybe he did have to go out to potty and enjoy the cold air. He does like the night air and the hunt. Here, most of the time, I would let him out before I went to bed, and had his fun exploring and hunting, and discovering.
Interesting he has a friend cat!!!
I have never seen him with another cat as a friend.

I had tried to block him out when he come meowing to me at 5.30am. His meowing will progress to crying and that's when I get weak when I hear him doing that. Paul is the stern dad who will say "NO, Mooch" and Mooch will be quiet for a while before he will resume his ritual of meowing and crying again.

Perhaps I'll let him go out before we go to bed and let him have some fun.

We too are surprised when we saw him sitting with a cat across our neighbour's yard. We would like to think it's his friend cause Mooch is on an attack mode each time he see the 2 puppies who lived next to us =)

Gosh gosh gosh!!

Unbelievable!!!! We are not entirely anti-cats, probably owning a puppy is more commmon here. Cats are commonly reared by "malays" here..

Nevertheless, am glad you are happy with Moocher. For GOD's sake, do not disturb his precious moments with your neigbours cats. For all you know, he might be enjoying it & that is the reason why he is meowing away ;)

Cecilia, You're right, I've turned into this cat slave... Paul think I'm very attached to Mooch and Mooch is occupying every min of me hahahah It is rewarding when he jumped into my lap and purr.

Well Tricia, we do let Mooch go out and play. That little devil is smart thought. He knows that it's cold outside and even when we leave the door open, he stay home. Or he'll scratch the window screen and want to be in the house....
