I used to roll my eyes and absolutely despise mothers who ambush their baby like papparazi and capture their every move with the camera. As if karma is out to get me, now I am one of the despised mom. Yah, my target - my newly adopted baby, Moocher.
As weird as it seems since he's twice my age in cat years but he still purr at me whenever I pet him and meow when he wants something from me. And I see him as my baby. At this point, I wonder if Paul is getting jealous of Moocher or think that I am obessed with him cause he kept telling me to leave the Cat alone hahahaha But I know Paul adores Moocher as much as me.
Last evening after dinner, I decided to sit at our backyard and enjoy the breeze. Within a few minutes, Moocher was right beside me like a child waiting for permission to roam and I pet his head and told him "It's okay, go and play, I'll be here". As if he really understand me (perhaps he does), he leap and start sniffing at everything in the grass and kept looking around as if there's anyone out there ambushing him and little did he know that the only one who ambush him is me with my camera, ready to snap pictures of him doing even the simplest thing such as sniffing at the grass or just walking around inspecting our neighbour's yard. About 30 minutes later, I decided to return back into the house and there he was right next to me.
I think he had too much fun outside cause around 11pm, when I was watching TV, he started meowing like he wants something. After going throught the ritual (as I've yet learn to distinguish and decode his meow), I finally open the door and thought perhaps he want to go potty. Soon 10 mins turn to 30 mins and despite me calling out for him, he didn't return. I was starting to worry and wonder if he had been kidnapped and on his way to another state or even to Mexico. When I told Paul about it, who was already happily snoring in his LALA Land, he mumble something to me and then return back to even heavier snoring.
By 12 midnight and there's still no sight of him, I figure he is either really been kidnapped or he had decided to run away from home or maybe met a girlfriend down the streets and decide to just go roaming around with her/him (cats can be gay too right ???). Thus I close all doors and proceed to meet Paul in Lala Land.
Early this morning, the first thing when Paul woke up at 5.30am, my very first word to him are "Open the door and look for Mooch". 5 mins later, Paul report back to base and told me "Moocher is in the house and having his breakfast". That's when I resume back to Lala Land in peace.
When I woke up, he was again, rubbing himself against me and purring happily. But I reckon he's super exhausted from last night's rendervous as he's on my bed in LALA Land and I would like to imagine that he's there jumping and hoping around or chasing after grasshoppers. Check out his pics from last evening !

ahhhhhhh... i love seeing him happy with you! now, not only does my entire family love you but our cat does too!!!!
Dee, Honey, thank you so much for keeping me(all other's that care), informed and upto date with pictures of Moocher.
I find it so amazing how you have changed your mind and heart about pets. Dogs and Cats!
You should have Paul take a picture of you and Mooch just to prove, you are really the one loving him
ha ha ha
I told you, that you would be his new Mommy that he will love. I so love it when I'm right... ha ha ha
I know that You and Sommer would be worried and wonder if he's adapting and how's he's doing etc and also his every move fascinate me cause he look so adorable and I can't help to just snap photos of him.
I do hope that he's looking at me as his new Mommy cause it's feels nice to take care of him and have him purr with me.
It's a brilliant idea to take a pic of me and Mooch together hahahah Oh, I picked him up and carry him into my bed today and he didn't even struggle ! It's a drastic and enormous move for me and I'm so bloody proud of myself hahahah
will he bring any insects / lies back into the house....
Well, I've never heard of Cats having lice thought I've known of Dogs having ticks and lice. As with Moocher, he's so obessed with cleaning himself I think he have OCD (Offessive Compulsive Disorder). So much so that in the middle of his nap or sleep, he will suddendly wake up and start licking himself clean.....
As for him bringing in insects, I'm keeping a close watch and so far he had yet to do anything unusual. However, my MIL told me Mooch will bring birds into her house as gifts for her and so does Paul told me Mooch had bought in some tiny animal for him. Hmm.... I am waiting for him to do that thought cause it's like the greatest honor a cat can give you !
Moocher wil be bannned from coming to my house cos my house has 2 birds - Titbits & Crackers ;)
Willl he grab the birds from their respective cages????
:(
No, apparently Mooch changes little animals from wildlife. He's a hunter hor... and apparently a good one too. Anyway I hope with my frequent letting him out, he will go out and hunt something for me hahaha.
Don't worry about yr Cracker and Tibits, me and Cecilia will have then as roast and deep fried bird to serve yr husband hahahaha !
