My MIL's Wedding ....

After slogging and spending many frustrating hours sorting through all the wedding photos, I realised that I've took more than 100 photos. Alright, enough of my complain, back to the wedding.

We're in Boone County, North Carolina up in the mountains and it's a cool (about 20 degs cels), sunny and beautiful Saturday evening. Just the scenery in the mountains itself is so beautiful and breath taking. All of us are ready and pumped up for my MIL's wedding and everyone is dressed to kill. Did I mention that the men are in PINK ???!!!!

So here we are in the wedding chapel and suddendly I am assigned and knighted to be the Photographer of the Ceremony. Boy ! Did I hyperventilate when I heard of this mission and was super worried about my amateur photo taking skills. I was sweating big time and that I would be taking photos that are out of focus, missed some kodak moment shots or messed up the photos. (But they actually turned out preety alright ! =))

Alright, back to the wedding. Imagine, the chapel was filled with guest from both families, soft music of the song "Unforgetable" by Nat King Cole is playing in the background, romance is in the air and we're all happy and excited for the couple who would be getting married infront of God in a few mins. The Groom is standing along side with the Minister waiting for the arrival of the Bride. Then the Handsome Best Man and the Beautiful Bride of Honor walked into the room. Followed by the Happy Bride and her 2 sons (Casey & Paul) who are giving her away to the Man who is going to take care of their mother for the rest of her life. (Sweet huh)

Like any other wedding, the Minister started his speech and soon the couple read their vows to each other and exchange their rings. OK, if I wasn't so occupied and focus with the photo taking, I would be sobbing away when they exchanged their vows and ring. The entire ceremony is just so touching and beautiful and everything is perfect !

When the ceremony is over, we all gathered outside of the chapel to take some photos and make some crazy faces before heading off to the Dinner venue which Sommer had sourced. Seriously, she played a major part in planning for this wedding from sourcing for the dinner venue to finding a beautiful and delicious wedding cake in the mountains and hand made the wedding favours ! I really salute her, she is just so creative and resourceful, definately the best wedding planner anyone can ask for.

I've took some photos during the dinner as well. To sum it up, we all had tons of fun and laughters and this is definately a perfect wedding - small and private, beautiful and sweet.

From this wedding, I've gathered and learned that it's never too late to marry, as long as you found the right person to marry.

TO the single folks out there, your time will come.
TO those who are dating now, enjoy this moment,
TO the married folks, enjoy your married life and treasure each other.
