Alright! I've accomplished the mission of finding the perfect dress for my MIL's wedding. Being a female, the whole outfit is never complete until we have the right shoes, right bag and the perfect accessories (Oh yeah ! It's like a whole nine yard just to get ready for an event). Strangely an accessory will either brighten and bring out the whole outfit or not destroy the whole look.
Luckily for me, I have got my shoes and bag which I think, kind of match (What do you girls think ?) But as usual, I am in a dilemma now...THE ACCESSORIES !!!
I have 2 set of accessories which I can't decide on. The 1st is a Black Beads set and the 2nd is a Semi-Precious Gem (A ROM gift from my Aunt- Dr Lee as a gift for my ROM).

Though black will blend in the black dress, I feel is too common to match it in black. At least with the gem set, it will make your overall looks brighter...

Diana, I think the dress & shoes are pretty:) The black cluth goes well.. but you don't want a whole black outfit, do you? Since you want to look sophisticated, yet "happening & chic", you might want to spice up your accessories -necklace & earrings.
I think red & gold jewellery will go very well with your black outfit, making your outfit "stands out"!
You can choose long necklace for that sassy look - something like this http://www.pinc.ws/enlarge/N157.htm & a simple red studded earrings:) I am sure they have similar accessories over in Florida!
If you don't want to dig your ah lao's pockets any further (it will grow into a HOLE) hahahaa, go for the semi-precious gems!

Why didn't I think of red ?!!! (Red is my "wang wang" colour too. I so love the red necklace example you provided.
